One
of the world's most exciting young solo percussionists, Pedro Carneiro
returns to the South Bank with an original multimedia event; music by
Xenakis and Bach, including a collaboration with dance, projection and
lighting design. Interpolated with a selection of works by Bach,
performed on marimba and choreographed by Teresa Simas, this
performances features breathtaking solo works Pssapha and Rebonds
and the hard-hitting djambe trio Okho in a tribute to Iannis Xenakis
(1922-2001), whose work has made an astonishing contribution for
percussionists worldwide.
