   The PLG Vision

Following exacting PLG auditions, some 30 new young artists are presented each year in the Group's New Year Series in the Purcell Room. During the PLG's 46 years, approximately 1300 young musicians have taken part in the Series and a substantial proportion have become leading artists.

The PLG's adventurous and imaginative programming coupled with the well-known high quality of its Young Artists means that the performances are heard by discerning audiences, including promoters and festival organisers. Many music critics are also present, which has resulted in the PLG platform being supported by a wealth of perceptive press reviews. The concerts are recorded.

The vision of the Park Lane Group is clear enough and is well demonstrated by the exciting and interesting events in the 2002/03 Season. The financial challenge is to ensure that such seasons continue.

The Group must raise money for everyone of its events. It has often found these resources from enlightened individuals in large and small amounts and their help has been, in the real sense of the word, a blessing.

With its charitable status, the PLG welcomes support from individuals, trusts, foundations, companies and corporations.

Membership of The Friends of the PLG is a simple method of individual support and brings the advantages of :

Priority booking
Attendance at additional events (eg the Launch Party, Thursday 14 November
at 12.00 noon in the Chelsfield Room, Royal Festival Hall)
And - knowing that you are playing a vital role in the future of the PLG.
