Ensembles of three or more: the average age must be not more than 29 years.
During the period 19 February to 4 March 2016
Ballet Rambert Studios, 99 Upper Ground, South Bank, London SE1
Upper Ground is the continuation of Belvedere Road, where is the Royal Festival Hall.
If selected, you will be sent a list of exact available dates and times.
If selected for audition, you will be requested to contibute to audition expenses:
£27 for solo/duo, £40.50 for trios, £54 for quartets, and so on.
Three contrasting works are requested:
One standard repertoire (classical or romantic or early 20th century).
One post-1985 and as contemporary as you wish.
Please make certain that the works brought are different:
1. In style 2. In atmosphere 3. In tempo 4. In period
Prepare a maximum 2 minutes Spoken Introduction for one of the works.
Concertos and operatic extracts are not suitable for these auditions.
Nor, for practical reasons, are works with recorded music and electronics.
The Audition Panel will decide which of these to hear.
We do not need to know in advance which pieces you will perform.
We rely on you to provide contrast as detailed above.
The audition will last between 10 and 15 minutes.
You may also apply as a member of another duo and/or other ensembles.
If so, separate Application Forms are necessary.
